Testimony - Mrs Morris
"The Joy of the Lord is my strength"
Before Joy is manifest in our lives we must have truthfulness, obedience and no compromise. Only standing for the Lord will bring joy.
I was converted and born again 15 years before my husband, we had a very happy marriage but once I gave my heart to the Lord and he started to change me, I had to face many trials but God gave me a promise in Isaiah 43: 2 and also in 42: 16 and I believed and trusted them and sure enough my husband came to the Lord and was really changed.
After this our love for one another wasn't just happy it was wonderful. Then eight to ten years later the Lord took him home to heaven, it seems unbelievable but I was so happy to know he'd gone to be with the Lord in heaven and that I had trusted the Lord. He is faithful to His promises.
I had good children they helped me, but I was very lonely and realized I only really had the Lord to turn to, He gave me another scripture Isaiah 54: 5-10 and I believe this with my whole heart. Believe me He is so close to me and He has never failed me, and He never will because He has promised and God's word is true.
It's ten years now since my husband went to be with the Lord. Now at 80 years old I desire Psalms 71: 18 to be lived out in my life in telling people of the "love of Jesus" but we must put ourselves out and not have self pity if we want that wonderful joy of the Lord which is our strength. May God Bless those who read this true testimony.
