Testimony - Jane Fam
After departing from Malaysia in 1988 with my daughter, we arrived in Auckland to join my husband who was seeking employment. Life was not beautiful as I thought and dreamed it would be. Facing the disappointment of a job that was promised me in Auckland among many other difficulties that arises in a new country, I had not one to turn to. All I could do was cry in my heart and hope for the best. From childhood to teenagehood I had been empty inside seeking for someone who would really love me. I would spent many late nights with friends partying during my teenage years. Somehow memories of wrong things I had done in the past brought misery and fear to me, that went on for about two years. One day I met a kind Christian man who took me to the Church of Christ to watch a gospel film. During the following Sunday night gospel film, Ii heard the Pastor say that Jesus Christ the Son of God, can forgive my sin, wash me clean, and remember no more. You could imagine what a relief to me it was to hear this amazing news. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour that night.
Life has not been easy after I gave my heart to Jesus. There were happy times and sad times, but I could cast my burden upon Jesus Who said in His word to cast all my care upon Him for He cares for me, to trust Him to help me go through my troubles for He said He will never leave me nor forsake me. Jesus never promised a life free of trouble but He promised to help me face and go through all my troubles when I give them to Him and trust Him. He has been so faithful to me in my walk with Him these 13 years. I am still learning from Him day by day. He is my faithful teacher and friend, my living God Who comforts me in my sorrow, gives me joy, peace and hope. I cannot imagine what I would be without Jesus.
He loves and cares for me deeply.
